This year we celebrate the 25^th anniversary of NAMI Southern Arizona.  It all began in Ellie Schorr’s living room back in the late seventies and we’ve grown to an organization educating and advocating for thousands of Tucson area residents living with mental illness as well as their families.

On October 10, 2008, the Daniel Moreno Recovery Award and Silent Auction will be a time for us all to not only celebrate this year’s recipient of the Recovery Award, but a time to honor our founders and reflect on a mission well done as NAMI’s message to reduce stigma and create awareness continues to grow.

Please mark you calendars for this celebration to be held at the Skyline Country Club.  Details are still being worked out, but if you know of someone you would like to nominate to receive this year’s award, please call the office at 622-5582 so we can send you a nomination form. Also, if you have anything you would like to donate to our silent auction……please let us know!
