Mike Glynn father, coach, teacher, mentor, businessman, athlete and outdoor enthusiast
Born at Fort Bragg, NC, Mike was the eldest of the six children of Marguerite and William Glynn. He attended high school at Lawrence Central in Indianapolis, IN, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame and also received a Master's in Divinity from there in 1983. Mike’s favorite occupation was being a coach and teacher:
at Salpointe Catholic High in Tucson,
as the Director of Football Operations at the University of Colorado,
as the Women's Cross Country Coach at the University of Notre Dame,
at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, IN,
and especially coaching his daughter Lissa’s softball and All-Star teams. Mike was involved in numerous start-up companies and ventures. He specialized in fundraising, consulting, and client development at the University of Portland, the Archdiocese of Denver, and many other organizations; most recently at ChildHelp. He is survived by his daughter: Mary Elizabeth "Lissa" Glynn; Siblings: Gregory, Suzanne, Jerome, and Regina. Mike passed away suddenly on July 30, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., Nov. 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm at Mehl Park, Ramada 2, in Tucson, AZ.
