Zacharias has worked in the behavioral health system for over 18 years and is currently the Senior Director of Inpatient/Residential Services & Quality Management at Community Bridges, an integrated behavioral health organization serving over 10,000 members. He previously served as the Director of Behavioral Health Case Management for Banner University Medical Center where he directed social work services across two academic acute-care hospitals with a total capacity of 660 adult and pediatric beds.
Zacharias joined the NAMI Board to promote the services offered to the community and to reduce the stigma of mental illness. He also served as an adjunct faculty member at Pima Community College where he taught Introduction to Behavioral Health and Social Services and Counseling in a Multi-Cultural Setting for students working towards the Behavioral Health Specialist certification. Zacharias sits on the Behavioral Health & Aging Council (BHAC) and is a former co-chair.
