Zacharias is currently the Health Center Regional Director at El Rio Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC). Zacharias serves as the lead administrator for clinical, and operational activities of the special immunology (HIV) clinic, Broadway (homeless) clinic, and behavioral health services. He is in charge of implementing the strategic planning process, conducting analysis and monitoring regional Health Center operations, and initiating new programs and services to meet the demands and needs of the patients and the community.
Since 2014 Zacharias has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Pima Community College where he teaches Social Services course 128: Introduction to Behavioral Health and Social Services course 204: Counseling in a Multi-Cultural Setting.
Zacharias previously served as the Director of Behavioral Health Case Management for Banner University Medical Center where he directed social work services across two academic acute-care hospitals with a total capacity of 660 adult and pediatric beds.
